What You Will Do:
Diagnose defects in heavy duty trucks and trailers and perform required mechanical services
Diagnose defects in electrical and lighting systems, brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, and bearings
Repair/Replace components for hydraulics, air systems, axles, trailer panels, suspensions, bumpers
Perform CVIP inspections/Safety Inspections
Perform incidental welding operations on steel and/or aluminum trailers
Ensure documentation is complete and accurate
Other duties as assigned
What We Require:
The ideal candidate is a registered level 2 apprentice or higher skillset
Demonstrated understanding of highway truck and automotive wiring
CVIP/Safety certificate for trucks and trailers preferred but not required
Previous welding experience is preferred but not required
Previous experience installing plows, sanders or dump boxes is preferred but not required
Must be able to meet the physical requirements: Lift up to 75lbs, able to work while kneeling/squatting and crouching, work at varying heights and enclosed areas
Must posses their own tools to complete tasks
Must have open availability
Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard office equipment
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal
Team-oriented, adaptable, with a commitment to safety excellence
