Job description
Infosys is looking for an experienced Lead Java Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and deliver scalable enterprise applications using Java and Angular. The role involves hands‑on coding, technical leadership, customer interaction, and ensuring high‑quality project delivery. In the role, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle in Java. You will also be expected to build high-throughput, fault tolerant systems with requirements including elicitation, application architecture, definition and design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. You will be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.Required Qualifications:Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Burnaby, BC or Toronto, ON or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel.Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.Candidates authorized to work for any employer in Canada without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply. Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role at this time.Design and develop applications using Java, Spring Boot, Rest API, PL/SQL & MicroservicesLead code reviews, mentor team members, and ensure coding best practicesWork closely with customers on requirements, issues, and status updatesSupport deployments, testing, and production transitionContribute to architecture, design, and technical documentationHands on experience in Azure cloud integration and implementationPreferred Qualifications:At least 6 years of experience in Java 8/Spring Boot/Microservices developmentStrong experience with REST APIs, JPA, Spring SecurityExperience with SQL (Oracle/SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Postgres/Cosmos DB)Strong analytical and problem‑solving skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work in Agile, global delivery environmentsHighly Sensitive to Information Security and Data Privacy lawsKnowledge of Web Servers, Application Servers.At least 6 years of experience in software development life cycle and project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.
