  • Prepare and install electronic components onto PCBs using appropriate assembly techniques and tools.
  • Inspect solder joints and assembled boards using visual inspection and magnification to verify compliance with quality and workmanship standards.
  • Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials, defects, or workmanship issues in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform rework, touch-up, and repair of solder defects and assembly issues as required to meet quality and reliability standards.
  • Use microscopes, hand tools, and other production equipment safely and correctly while following ESD control procedures at all times.
  • Clean and maintain soldering machinery, tools, and workstations to ensure consistent performance and product quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment issues related to soldering and assembly processes.
  • Follow established quality procedures, safety policies, and manufacturing standards throughout all tasks.
  • Support continuous improvement activities and corrective action initiatives to enhance processes and product quality.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet production schedules and delivery commitments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation that supports efficient workflow.
  • Perform additional duties and related tasks as assigned to support overall production operations.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in electronic assembly or soldering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hand-soldering skills with both through-hole and surface mount (SMT) components preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings, blueprints, and detailed work instructions.
  • Proficiency in assembling and inspecting PCBs to meet defined specifications and quality standards.
  • Experience using microscopes, magnification tools, and hand tools for inspection and assembly work.
  • Working knowledge of IPC standards, with IPC-A-610 experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with ESD procedures and proper handling of electronic components and assemblies.
  • Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability or willingness to learn ERP or production tracking systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment.
  • Willingness and availability to work periodic overtime as needed.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and wiring in a production setting.
  • Electronic assembly and PCB assembly using both through-hole and surface mount technologies.
  • Ability to perform detailed inspection to confirm correct part placement and overall board quality.
  • Experience maintaining and cleaning soldering equipment and workstation tools.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving minor equipment and process issues.
  • Comfort working with production documentation, quality records, and nonconformance reporting.
  • Interest in supporting continuous improvement and adopting best practices in manufacturing.

Why Work Here?
