Job purpose

The Territory Manager, Medical Dermatology is responsible for achieving all territory sales goals through the promotion, sale and support of our acne prescription products. They will report into the Regional Sales Manager, Medical Dermatology.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Directing one-to-one communication with physicians and health care professionals in support of approved product indications
  • Contacting medical professionals and competitively explaining features and benefits of products offered; including managing objections
  • Communicating about and being a key touchpoint/resource in the patient access/benefit program
  • Planning and organizing speakers’ programs and other peer to peer activities in territory in partnership with Medical
  • Leading execution of Lunch and Learn programs
  • Communicating competitive market intelligence to brand teams and management
  • Timely and accurate completion of all administrative expectations
  • Responsible for complying with Canadian drug regulations (Health Canada. Innovative Medicines Canada regulations and Sun’s Policies) relative to field drug promotion

Additional responsibility (Only applicable to customer facing roles)

Report any adverse event received from customers for company products to the pharmacovigilance department / Drug Safety on the same day or within 1 business day

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3-5 years’ pharmaceutical sales experience is required
  • Play-to-win attitude; is builder who takes pride in leaving a legacy; ease in working with ambiguity, and is collaborative: demonstrated perseverance, resilience and fortitude
  • High personal initiative, commitment and strong problem-solving skills
  • Bringing influential dermatology relationships preferred
  • Ability to build strong new relationships by bringing value to customers beyond the brands
  • Compelling storyteller, focusing on the most suitable patient profiles and able to leverage use
  • Gain commitment for trial, and bring additional value through consistent support
  • Proven track record demonstrating top sales accomplishments
  • Ability to develop relationships with physicians, nurses and ancillary staff within academic hospitals, clinics and private practice facilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian healthcare system processes including reimbursement preferred
  • Strong work ethic; ability to develop priorities and manage time appropriately
  • Competent skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must possess strong business acumen
  • Works effectively with all members of a cross functional team
  • Ability to travel, with occasional overnight stays as needed

Objectif du poste

Le ou la Gestionnaire de territoire – Dermatologie médicale est responsable de l’atteinte de tous les objectifs de ventes sur son territoire par la promotion, la vente et le soutien de nos produits sur ordonnance pour le traitement de l’acné. La personne titulaire du poste relève du ou de la Gestionnaire régional(e) des ventes – Dermatologie médicale.

Responsabilités principales

  • Assurer des communications individualisées auprès des médecins et des professionnels de la santé afin de soutenir les indications approuvées des produits
  • Contacter les professionnels de la santé et présenter de façon concurrentielle les caractéristiques et les avantages des produits, incluant la gestion des objections
  • Communiquer activement sur le programme d’accès et de remboursement des patients et agir à titre de ressource clé à ce sujet
  • Planifier et organiser, en collaboration avec l’équipe médicale, des conférences et autres activités de pairs à pairs sur le territoire
  • Assurer l’exécution des programmes « Lunch and Learn »
  • Communiquer en temps opportun les renseignements concurrentiels et les données du marché aux équipes de marque et à la direction
  • Compléter avec rigueur et dans les délais requis toutes les tâches administratives
  • Se conformer à l’ensemble des exigences réglementaires canadiennes applicables à la promotion des médicaments (Santé Canada, Médicaments novateurs Canada et politiques internes de Sun)

Responsabilité additionnelle (applicable uniquement aux rôles en interaction avec les clients)

Déclarer tout événement indésirable porté à votre connaissance par un client relativement aux produits de l’entreprise au service de pharmacovigilance / Sécurité des médicaments le jour même ou au plus tard dans un délai d’un jour ouvrable

Qualifications

Baccalauréat requis et minimum de 3 à 5 ans d’expérience en ventes pharmaceutiques.

Mentalité axée sur la réussite; profil de bâtisseur ou bâtisseuse laissant un impact durable; aisance dans les environnements ambigus et esprit collaboratif démontrant persévérance, résilience et détermination

Haut niveau d’initiative personnelle, fort engagement et solides aptitudes en résolution de problèmes

Réseau de relations influentes en dermatologie (un atout)

Capacité démontrée à établir de nouvelles relations d’affaires durables en apportant une valeur ajoutée au-delà des marques

Excellentes aptitudes en communication et en narration, axées sur les profils de patients les plus appropriés et l’utilisation optimale des produits

Capacité à obtenir l’engagement pour des essais thérapeutiques et à offrir une valeur ajoutée par un soutien constant

Diplôme universitaire (baccalauréat) et minimum de trois ans d’expérience en ventes pharmaceutiques

Antécédents démontrés de rendement supérieur et de succès en ventes

Capacité à développer des relations avec des médecins, infirmier(ère)s et membres du personnel de soutien dans les hôpitaux universitaires, cliniques et cabinets privés

Connaissance démontrée du système de santé canadien, incluant les processus de remboursement (un atout)

Solide éthique de travail; capacité à établir des priorités et à gérer efficacement son temps

Maîtrise des outils Microsoft Word, Excel et PowerPoint

Solides compétences en gestion et en analyse d’affaires

Capacité à travailler efficacement au sein d’équipes multidisciplinaires

Disponibilité à se déplacer, incluant des nuitées occasionnelles, au besoin
