The Opportunity
Leavitt Machinery is looking for a driven Outside Sales & Rentals Representative to join our team in Belle River, Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the industrial equipment sales and rentals strategy in your territory, including building and managing a customer base.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the end‑to‑end sales and rental strategy in your territory
- Develop expertise in selling material handling equipment
- Prospect for new business, effectively manage sales leads, and secure new customer accounts by offering tailored solutions
- Deliver customized, solution‑oriented sales pitches using research, market data, product expertise, and sales skills
- Negotiate with customers to close deals professionally and tactfully
- Retain and grow key accounts by proactively identifying new business opportunities and innovative solutions
- Collaborate with product experts to identify and capitalize on expansion and cross‑selling opportunities within existing accounts
- Build relationships with decision makers within existing customer accounts and create an ongoing relationship strategy
- Ensure success against contract terms and consistently achieve customer satisfaction
- Follow up with customers on orders, quotes, and requested services
- Analyze competitor product offerings, applications, and pricing to overcome objections and guarantee sales
Required Skills & Qualifications
1 to 3 years of prior experience in B2B sales strongly preferredConstruction or material handling equipment industry knowledge is a strong assetPost‑secondary education in sales, business management, or a related disciplineWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and ExcelPrevious experience working with a CRM system preferredStrong relationship‑building skillsPersonable, confident, and willing to continuously learn and be coachedAbility to work effectively independently and as part of a teamA customer‑oriented mindset and genuine interest in presenting innovative solutions to customersEffective negotiation skills and excellent problem‑solving skillsHigh motivation and resiliencyExcellent organizational and planning skillsMaintaining a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel within the region is requiredBenefits & Perks
