Position Summary

: Building upon theories and research methods that were introduced in UX Research Methods I, the focus of this is on the methods for summative UX research with a specific focus on quantitative and statistical methods for the evaluation of usability in human-centred design. This course focusses on how usability can be interpreted in terms of user performance and satisfaction and emphasizes that usability is dependent on the specific circumstances in which a system, product, or service is used.

• PhD with emphasis in User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Interaction Design or equivalent is preferred
• Teaching experience at the college or university level or experience providing training in UX quantitative research or equivalent is required
• Graduate level teaching experience is preferred
• Applied quantitative research practice involving human subjects or equivalent is required
• Commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the classroom is preferred
• Currency with industry best practices and tools relevant to the course is preferred
