Job description
Become a Journeyperson Powerline Technician at Oshawa Power Group, engaging in crucial electrical distribution maintenance. Ensure safe and reliable service for the community by conducting emergency and routine repairs. This role directly reports to the Supervisor of Distribution Construction and requires you to work on both energized and de-energized electrical systems. Your responsibilities include installing infrastructure, maintaining safety standards, and training others. You will contribute to the operational excellence of Oshawa's electrical distribution network. Key Responsibilities: • Construct and repair electrical distribution systems safely • Operate specialized vehicles and machinery for tasks • Document time, materials, and work performed accurately • Collaborate with fellow departments on projects • Train apprentices in equipment and safety standards Requirements: • Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent • Ministry of Labour Powerline Technician certification • Minimum five years of field experience • Valid clean DZ driver’s license • Strong understanding of electrical utility methods Utilize your skills in a supportive and safety-focused workplace at Oshawa Power. #J-18808-Ljbffr
