Who we are looking for:
Sasco, a division of Atkore, is currently searching for a Spot Welder Apprentice to be based out of North York - Toronto. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the ideal candidate will have to years of experience in a manufacturing and fabrication environment, preferably in spot welding. Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives will be considered an asset.
The Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Comply with all Atkore policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace, Respectful Workplace, Workplace Harassment, and other corporate policies.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Ability to reliably commute to the plant on a daily basis.
Availability to work full-time and all assigned shifts.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of – years of experience in a manufacturing and fabrication environment.
Spot welding experience is considered an asset.
Positive, professional, and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Demonstrated willingness and enthusiasm to learn and continuously develop skills within a manufacturing setting.
Ability to stand and perform physical work for extended periods throughout the workday.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards, with a focus on maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
