Controls Specialist
for one of our automotive manufacturing clients neat
Whitby, ON .
Pay
- $90-$95K
Responsibilities
Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robots, servo systems, and automated manufacturing equipment.
Program and modify Allen‑Bradley PLCs and support robotic welding, assembly, and material handling systems.
Diagnose equipment failures, implement corrective actions, and perform preventive maintenance.
Commission new automation equipment and support process improvement initiatives.
Interpret electrical schematics and provide technical support to production and maintenance teams.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards while maintaining accurate system documentation.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
3 5 years of industrial automation experience, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, industrial networks, and electrical troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
