A well-established national property and construction consultancy is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Sydney team.
With more than 50 years of industry experience the consultancy has built a strong reputation for delivering independent cost management and advisory services across both public and private sector projects. This role is suited to a Quantity Surveyor with 5 years consultancy experience who is looking to take ownership of projects while continuing to develop their career within an established national consultancy.
Youll manage projects across a diverse range of sectors providing cost management services from feasibility through to project completion. Working closely with clients and project teams youll play a key role in delivering commercial outcomes while mentoring junior team members and building long-term client relationships.
Prepare cost plans estimates and feasibility studies across all project stages
Manage project budgets and provide ongoing cost reporting
Prepare tender documentation and procurement advice
Assess variations progress claims and final accounts
Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
Deliver commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle
Mentor and support junior Quantity Surveyors
Manage multiple projects across both public and private sector clients
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
5 years consultancy Quantity Surveying experience
Strong experience across pre-contract and post-contract services
Excellent cost planning and financial management skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to manage projects independently while working collaboratively within a team
AIQS membership or working towards accreditation is highly regarded
Diverse portfolio across public and private sector projects offering excellent variety
Hybrid working with up to two days working from home
