Senior Cost Manager

A leading international project and cost management consultancy is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to join its growing Sydney team.

With a strong pipeline of major data centre and mission critical projects the business partners with some of the worlds largest technology clients to deliver complex developments across Australia and internationally. Role Overview

This role is suited to an experienced Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor with consultancy experience and a strong background in delivering complex construction projects.

Youll work across the full project lifecycle providing strategic cost management advice while partnering closely with clients contractors and project teams. The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of major projects mentor junior team members and continue developing your career within a high-performing international consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare cost plans estimates and feasibility studies across all project stages
Manage procurement tendering and contract administration processes
Deliver cost reporting forecasting and financial analysis
Assess variations progress claims and final accounts
Provide strategic commercial advice to clients and project stakeholders
Lead value engineering and risk management initiatives
Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery
Mentor and support junior Cost Managers and Quantity Surveyors

Skills & Experience

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
5 years consultancy Quantity Surveying or Cost Management experience
Strong pre-contract and post-contract cost management experience
Experience delivering large-scale commercial data centre or infrastructure projects is highly regarded
Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication and client-facing capability
AIQS or RICS membership or working towards accreditation is highly regarded
