Based in Sudbury, ON , the Civil Engineering Technician will report to the Project Manager, Engineering and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on the on-site review & documentation of Land Development and Linear Infrastructure projects.

You will be part of a team that provides solutions in a diverse range of engineering, including Municipal, Transportation, Environmental, Drainage and Stormwater Management.

This is an existing vacancy within the organization.

The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $73,000 annually.

What You’ll Do: As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will: Perform on-site construction inspections of Civil Engineering designs to ensure general conformity with engineered drawings and specifications Provide Contract Administration support to the Project Manager for various Civil Engineering projects including: chairing progress meetings, preparing meeting minutes, reviewing shop drawing submittals, and preparing change management documentation Maintain diligent records of on-site activities for each unique project, including accurate field reports, photo inventories, and any documents required for Engineering Certification Complete quantity takeoffs and Engineering cost estimates Assist with project tendering Communicate subject matter effectively to the Constructor Collaborate with the Engineering team to prepare detailed Engineering drawings, as required Apply AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare: Lot Grading Plans, Site Servicing Plans, Site Grading & Drainage Plans, Erosion & Sediment Control Plans, Road Plan & Profile Drawings, Cut & Fill Plans, etc., as required Please note that this job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job.

What You Should Bring: The ideal candidate will hold a degree or diploma from a Civil Engineering Technology or Technician program.

Additionally, you should bring: 5+ years of experience working in a Civil Engineering Technician role OACETT C.E.T or C.
