Whitby Mazda, a proud member of Drive Autogroup, is currently seeking a Business Development Representative to join their team. The ideal candidate will coordinate and support all efforts to establish an industry‑leading "Guest experience" for dealership clientele. This position will be responsible for scheduling service appointments, handling guest inquiries efficiently and in a timely manner, and working with other departments to develop prompt guest service communication.
Responsibilities
- Respond to all inbound emails, telephone, and online inquiries.
- Provide timely responses to customer requests.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with customers.
- Generate appointments for current, outstanding, or lost customers through outbound prospecting and lead activity management.
- Confirm and follow up on or reschedule missed appointments.
- Act as the first point of contact with a friendly attitude for any potential client or customer.
- Direct, track, and fairly distribute all leads and potential customers accordingly.
- Perform after‑purchase care: follow up with customers who have bought a vehicle and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Update records and enter customer information into the data management system.
- Create and filter customer retention lists, and generate leads to determine if customer vehicle needs have changed.
- Meet or exceed monthly goals.
- Present products, pricing, and estimates in a clear, understandable manner.
- Address and overcome customer objections with strong ability.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the direct manager.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of CDK and/or Xtime is a definite asset.
- Ability to use several different computer programs simultaneously.
- Sales experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Automotive knowledge is an asset but not required.
- 1‑2 years of customer service in a call‑centre environment preferred.
