Job description

We are Crestview Strategy, a public affairs agency, and we are hiring a Talent & Performance Programs Specialist to join our growing team on a 14-month maternity leave coverage contract, with the potential for extension based on business needs.

We are a multi-national firm serving clients across Canada, UK, The Gulf and Australia. We work with some of the largest companies in the world on a variety of interesting and complex public affairs mandates and interests.

The Talent & Performance Programs Specialist plays a central role in connecting employee growth with business success. In this role, you will design and deliver programs across performance management, career pathing, learning and development, and compensation, while acting as a trusted partner to leaders across the firm.

You will lead core talent processes including performance reviews, calibration, 360-degree feedback, rewards alignment, skills development and training, and compensation planning, ensuring they are clear, effective, and scalable in a fast-paced, global professional services environment. Reporting to the Vice President, Talent and Performance, you will work closely with leaders across consulting services and operations and play an important role in supporting Crestview’s next phase of growth. This role is for an existing vacancy.

Role Description

Performance Management & Program Delivery

  • Lead the performance cycles, ensuring clarity, consistency, and seamless execution across the firm
  • Own the firm’s performance management framework, including philosophy, assessments, training, calendar planning, communications, tools, and systems
  • Develop and embed goal setting into annual planning and business priorities, helping reinforce a culture of ongoing feedback
  • Strengthen the overall performance process through clear cadence, communications, feedback loops, and employee support
  • Lead multi-level calibration across the business and 360-degree feedback processes to support fair, aligned, and data-driven talent decisions
  • Plan and facilitate calibration sessions, synthesize insights, and support final outcomes and reporting
  • Analyze performance and engagement data to inform development priorities, promotions, and salary review cycles
  • Partner with leaders on promotion, growth plans, and salary review decisions

Career Pathing & Talent Development

  • Refine and scale Crestview’s job architecture to support growth and create shared clarity around expectations at each level
  • Build and maintain career paths across functions, working with leaders to define what growth looks like by role and level
  • Develop career pathing for support roles and structured communication of career pathways for consulting employees
  • Keep competencies and role expectations current as the business evolves
  • Identify skills gaps across the business and design learning programs to address them
  • Design and deliver training for new hires, performance leads, and people leaders to strengthen process understanding, coaching capability, feedback quality, and development effectiveness
  • Help manage learning tools and training content to keep them relevant as Crestview grows
  • Strengthen visibility into growth opportunities and advise leaders on performance and development decisions
  • Support the design and rollout of skills development frameworks across leadership and teams

Compensation & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Contribute to compensation planning, benchmarking, and job architecture, with scope to take on greater ownership over time
  • Partner with business units, advising leaders across the employee lifecycle, including performance management, career pathing, learning and development, compensation, and employee relations
  • Coach leaders through performance-related challenges, from setting expectations to navigating difficult conversations
  • Ensure programs align with internal policies, legal requirements, and external benchmarks
  • Support change management and broader Talent & Performance initiatives tied to organizational design and global growth

Requirements

You bring a blend of strategic thinking, strong execution, and people-centred judgment that strengthens Crestview’s talent and performance practices while enabling business growth.

  • 7+ years of experience in talent management, performance management, HR business partnering, organizational development, or a related field, ideally in a professional services or consulting environment
  • Experience leading end-to-end performance and talent programs, including performance cycles, calibration, career development, and rewards
  • Strong understanding of competency frameworks, career pathing, job architecture, and compensation practices
  • Experience designing and delivering training for leaders and employees across levels
  • Executive presence, strong facilitation skills, and the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and data storytelling skills, with the ability to turn insights into clear, practical recommendations
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills
  • Global mindset, strong business acumen, and the ability to work effectively across teams and cultures
  • Experience with platforms such as 15Five, ADP Workforce Now, Zoho, and people analytics tools; advanced Excel skills are an asset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, take ownership, and deliver results

This is a 14-month full-time contract role based in our downtown Toronto office, with flexibility for hybrid work. All candidates must be based in Canada and legally eligible to work in Canada. We thank all applicants for their interest. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
