Position

IT Infrastructure Manager – Cloud Platform (Permanent, Full‑Time, Montreal, Canada)

Reporting to Radek Hruby.

Overview

This role sits at the center of a multi‑year Azure migration programme, moving several core products from legacy data centres into a modern cloud platform. As the IT Infrastructure Manager for the Cloud Platform, you will own the operational model, standardisation and scaling of these environments once they are delivered. The position blends leadership, technical decision‑making and hands‑on engineering to build reliable, supportable, and scalable cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the cloud platform team and establish a single operating model across AWS and Azure, moving from varied legacy practices to an automation‑driven platform.
  • Define and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent tools.
  • Integrate infrastructure delivery into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or Jenkins).
  • Design and manage cloud networking, identity and access management, security controls, monitoring and cost governance.
  • Oversee incident response, change management and operational handover for live production environments.
  • Drive consistent engineering standards and promote best practices across multiple SaaS products.
  • Support migration from on‑premise or hybrid environments to the cloud.
  • Mentor and develop cloud or platform team members.
  • Collaborate with product teams to align platform solutions with product requirements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud engineering or platform roles within enterprise or SaaS environments.
  • Hands‑on experience designing and operating cloud platforms in both Azure and AWS, with a depth in at least one and exposure to the other.
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent).
  • Experience integrating infrastructure delivery into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security controls, monitoring and cost governance.
  • Proven track record managing live production environments, including incident response and change management.
  • Leadership experience leading cloud or platform teams and establishing engineering standards.
  • Experience in organisations transitioning from legacy infrastructure to cloud operating models.
  • Experience supporting SaaS products or large‑scale cloud‑hosted platforms.
  • Experience delivering or supporting migrations from data centre or hybrid environments to cloud.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and SRE practices within enterprise teams.
  • Proficiency in scripting using Python, PowerShell or Bash.
  • Experience with enterprise landing zones or cloud governance frameworks.

Location

The role is primarily remote, with flexible working options. It is ideal for a candidate who can work from the Montreal or Toronto office as required.
