Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Workday HCM Lead to support and optimize Workday HCM across complex workforce environments

Join a Workday Digital Capability Team supporting large-scale HCM operations within a complex organizational environment. This role leads Workday Core HCM and Compensation configuration, production support, releases, integrations, and platform optimization across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and vendor teams. The position supports highly complex workforce structures including unionized and non-unionized employee populations, restructures, and multi-business-unit operations. This role serves as the foundation for the broader project team and may help guide additional resources.

Must to eligible for Reliability Clearance (be in Canada for at least 5 years, without leaving the country for longer than 6 months)

Must Haves

• Active Workday HCM Pro Certification
• 7+ years supporting Workday HCM, Core HCM configuration, implementation, and production support
• 4+ years in Workday Compensation configurations
• Workday Security, Business Processes, Reporting, and Integrations within large complex organizations

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting unionized workforce environments
• Workday experience in Payroll, Benefits, Absence Management, Time Tracking, or Recruiting
• Experience with EIBs and Workday Connectors
• Experience supporting multi-location and multi-business-unit operations
• Availability for occasional travel to Ottawa office if remote

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead SME for Workday Core HCM and Compensation
• Configure and maintain organizations, staffing models, positions, job profiles, worker data, and organizational structures
• Design and support business processes, approvals, notifications, validations, and security roles
• Develop and maintain calculated fields, reports, dashboards, and data audits
• Support employee lifecycle transactions including hires, transfers, promotions, reorganizations, leaves, and terminations
• Troubleshoot configuration, security, reporting, integration, and data-related issues
• Support Workday integrations, EIBs, Connectors, testing, releases, enhancements, and production support
