Your main responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and support a team of Civil Engineers, Engineers-in-Training, and Civil Engineering Technologists, fostering professional growth and engagement;
• Coordinate and assign resources to projects based on workload, technical requirements, staff capabilities, and development objectives;
• Monitor team utilization, schedules, backlog, and project demands, identifying resourcing gaps and opportunities to improve operational efficiency;
• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, performance feedback, and guidance to direct reports while promoting collaboration and accountability;
• Support recruitment activities, workforce planning, onboarding, and succession planning initiatives in collaboration with the Team Lead;
• Review and approve timesheets, vacation requests, and expense claims in accordance with company policies and procedures;
• Collaborate with Team Leads, Project Managers, and other supervisors to balance workloads and optimize resource allocation across the business unit;
• Support proposal preparation, scope development, fee estimates, client relationship management, and business development initiatives;
• Promote quality, consistency, and compliance with applicable engineering standards, company procedures, client requirements, and project schedules;
• Champion Englobe's health and safety culture by ensuring safe work practices and participating in site visits, client meetings, and operational reviews as required.

What makes you unique

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution;
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation, eligibility for registration, or a recognized professional technologist designation is considered an asset;
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, civil design, municipal infrastructure, land development, or related disciplines;
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, coordinating, or supervising technical staff and project teams;
• Strong understanding of engineering consulting environments, project delivery processes, and resource management principles;
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with staff, clients, and multidisciplinary teams;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management, scheduling, and resource planning practices;
• Experience supporting proposals, client development, project management, or business development activities is considered an asset;
• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety, quality, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional client service.
