We are seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join our specialized team focused on hydroelectric facilities and dam engineering. In this role, you will contribute to the planning, design, rehabilitation, and assessment of dams, hydraulic structures, and hydroelectric facilities while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on projects across Canada. This is an onsite position requiring attendance at project site for five (5) days per week.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and rehabilitation of hydroelectric generating stations and associated civil/structural infrastructure.
- Perform structural and stability analyses for hydraulic structures, including dams, spillways, intake structures, powerhouse buildings, and gate systems.
- Assist with feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed designs, technical assessments, and engineering reports.
- Participate in dam safety reviews, inspections, and condition assessments of hydraulic structures and hydroelectric facilities.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports, and contract documents.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
- Review construction methods and assist with cost estimates.
- Provide engineering support during construction, including occasional site visits and field inspections.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality engineering solutions while continuing to develop technical expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering focus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design, assessment, or rehabilitation of civil/structural infrastructure, preferably within hydropower, dams, or heavy civil projects.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), or eligible to obtain registration.
- Experience with structural analysis and design of concrete and steel structures.
- Experience with hydraulic structures or dam engineering is considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of seismic engineering and dynamic analysis of structures is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
