The Process Improvement Consultant will report to the Director, Operational Excellence. The Operational Excellence professional is responsible for identifying and executing against performance improvement opportunities, enabling successful transformations across the enterprise, and using contemporary process improvement techniques while building people capabilities. They effectively and passionately lead Lean Six Sigma projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, eliminating waste, reducing defects, and improving overall quality.
Your Contributions to the Organization will be:
Facilitate quarterly project pipeline review and align projects to business objectives and key performance indicators
Facilitate weekly Hoshin process for site/region and ensure project objectives are met
Measure and analyze processes to identify opportunities for improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and standardization
Lead/Coach site/regional projects to solve operational challenges using DMAIC methodology
Gather data and information that help business leaders make decisions and prioritize projects
Prepare reports and presentations on project results, risks, and benefits
Coach project leaders throughout project life cycle.
Monitor project primary metrics post-Control phase up to 12 months to ensure results are sustained
Optimize processes to reduce waste, variation, and defects.
Attend tiered accountability meetings and assist team leaders and supervisors to track, communicate, and drive performance through real-time problem solving
Support training of associates, team leads, and supervisors in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, following 70-20-10 development framework
Facilitate, support, and assist in Kaizen events, A3 projects, and root cause problem solving
Provide guidance and support to Kaizen Leaders, White Belts and Yellow Belts
Support leaders in implementing Tiered Accountability and ensure adoption to the standard
Support organizational performance management through the building and maintaining of dashboards and reports that provide insights to leaders (e.g., PowerBI dashboard)
This Job might be for you if:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, science, or a related field (Industrial Engineering preferred)
1-2 years experience in related field
PMP certification is an asset
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency, excellent time management, and the ability to thrive in both team-based and independent work environments
Certified Yellow or Green Belt (an asset)
Lead, coach and facilitate low to medium-scale improvement projects within site/region
Influence, negotiate and communicate with a range of stakeholders
Drive project governance and timeline adherence
Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to solve operational problems
Manage projects of varying complexity
Understand process automation tools, WMS, ERP systems, and BI tools
Experience building performance management dashboards
Experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and/or Distribution
Anticipated Salary Range: $51,900 - $69,200
