MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Security Communications and Training Specialist on behalf of our client. The role focuses on three key areas: delivering live cybersecurity-awareness presentations, developing structured training programs, and producing executive-level reports on employee security behaviors and human-risk trends. The successful candidate must be comfortable presenting to audiences ranging from large employee groups to senior executives and translating behavioral data into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.

Responsibilities:

Develop polished communications, presentations, briefs, and information packages for vice-president, executive, and board-level audiences.

Proofread and perform quality-control reviews to ensure materials are accurate, clear, and presentation-ready.

Design and deliver formal cybersecurity-awareness and social-engineering training programs, including structured curricula, live sessions, workshops, and roadshows.

Facilitate training for audiences ranging from large employee groups to senior executives.

Translate complex cybersecurity and human-risk topics into clear, calm, and actionable communications.

Support broader communications related to the organization’s social-engineering and human-risk program.

Gather, analyze, validate, and present program metrics for executive and board-level reporting.

Identify data-quality or reporting issues before information is presented to senior leadership.

Administer a social-engineering awareness platform and develop training content through the selected platform.

Collaborate with communications, organizational change management, project, and enterprise-security teams.

Adapt training and communications materials as organizational priorities and senior-leadership direction evolve.
Qualifications

Demonstrated experience preparing professional written communications and presentations for executives or senior leadership.

Direct experience designing and delivering formal training programs to large groups, including live facilitation, roadshows, workshops, or structured learning sessions.

Strong written, verbal, presentation, proofreading, and quality-control abilities.

Advanced PowerPoint or comparable presentation-software proficiency, supported by examples of materials personally produced in previous positions.

Ability to communicate cybersecurity, social-engineering, compliance, or risk-related concepts without relying on fear-based messaging.

Experience analyzing data and preparing metrics for senior-leadership reporting.

Genuine interest in cybersecurity, security awareness, social engineering, and human-risk reduction.

Ability to work onsite in Calgary three days per week.

Legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction.

Recent cybersecurity-awareness, security-communications, or human-risk experience.

Hands-on experience designing and delivering formal training, structured curricula, live sessions, workshops, or roadshows.

Demonstrated experience presenting or facilitating training in front of groups.

Executive-level communication and presentation experience.

PowerPoint proficiency demonstrated within previous employment responsibilities—not solely listed in a skills section.

Ability to produce polished, original communications and presentation materials independently.

Comfort working with data and presenting metrics to executive or board-level audiences.

Availability for the required Calgary hybrid schedule.
Candidates whose experience is limited to phishing simulations, social-engineering simulations, or campaign administration will not meet the training-delivery requirement.
Nice-to-Haves

Experience in cybersecurity communications, security awareness, compliance, or risk communications.

Familiarity with platforms such as Doppel, Mirage, KnowBe4, or Proofpoint.

Experience in energy, utilities, or another regulated industry.

Background in security engineering or architecture, combined with independently demonstrated training-delivery and executive-communication experience.

Experience delivering multi-location training roadshows.
