General Superintendent - Civil Construction
BC Eco Industrial Services | A Sutherland Group Company
Southern Interior & Kootenay Region, British Columbia
We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent - Civil Construction to lead civil infrastructure projects throughout the Kootenays and Southern Interior.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in the field, builds strong teams, and takes ownership of delivering projects safely, efficiently, and profitably. Working closely with Project Managers, Foremen, crews, and clients, you will play a key role in executing projects while helping develop the next generation of construction leaders.
Why the Kootenays?
The Kootenays offer a rare combination of career opportunity and exceptional quality of life. Surrounded by mountains, lakes, and endless outdoor recreation, the region is ideal for those who enjoy skiing, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, golfing, or simply spending time outdoors.
From the vibrant communities of Nelson, Castlegar, and Trail to the small-town charm of Salmo, Fruitvale, and Christina Lake, you'll find welcoming communities, shorter commutes, excellent schools, and a lifestyle that prioritizes family.

Drive Operational Excellence
Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to maximize productivity and efficiency. Continuously evaluate project performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and work collaboratively with Project Managers to achieve operational and financial objectives.
Manage Project Performance
Monitor productivity, schedules, budgets, and resource utilization throughout all phases of construction. Proactively identify risks, scope changes, and potential challenges, implementing solutions that protect project outcomes and support long-term profitability.
