About the role
The Junior Automation Specialist is a new position designed to ensure our internal workflows match the high standards we set for our client deliverables. This role exists to identify manual bottlenecks in our research and reporting processes and resolve them through thoughtful technical solutions. By joining our team, you will help our principals focus on strategic advice rather than repetitive data tasks.

Arabian Private Holdings was founded on the principle that many critical business problems do not fit the traditional large-firm consulting model. A board facing a succession question or a family group weighing a capital injection does not need a team of twelve associates and a hundred-page methodology deck. They need experienced partners who can sit with a problem, form a rigorous view, and defend it. We take on a limited number of mandates to ensure that every client receives direct attention from the principals who are actually accountable for the outcome. Our work covers corporate strategy, governance, and operating model efficiency for some of the most significant family groups, listed corporations, and government entities in the region. We focus on clarity over complexity, providing honest, independent advice to our partners.

What you will do
  • Review existing data collection processes for our client mandates and suggest ways to automate information retrieval.
  • Build and maintain scripts to help monitor performance metrics for various holding companies within our portfolio.
  • Write clean, documented code to connect different software tools used for client reporting and internal governance.
  • Assist in the creation of automated dashboards that provide clarity on portfolio health for our senior partners.
  • Identify ways to use simple automation to improve the speed and accuracy of our financial modeling templates.
  • Collaborate with the investment team to ensure that data flows from various sources into our central analysis environment without manual intervention.
  • Document all automation logic so that the firm maintains a clear technical memory of how our processes function.
  • Troubleshoot errors in existing automated workflows to ensure consistent uptime and reliability.
What we are looking for
  • A clear and logical approach to problem solving, with the ability to break down a manual process into its component steps.
  • Practical knowledge of basic scripting or automation tools, perhaps gained through university projects or personal experimentation.
  • Precision in written communication, ensuring that technical explanations are understandable to non-technical partners.
  • An interest in how corporate strategy and governance intersect with technology and information systems.
  • A high degree of curiosity and the willingness to learn how holding companies and large family groups operate.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule within our remote structure.
