Payroll & HR Administrator for our client in Calgary, AB. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with experience in payroll processing and human resources administration who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and supporting employees throughout the employee lifecycle.
In this role, you will be responsible for administering payroll, maintaining employee records, supporting benefits administration, and assisting with the implementation of a new Human Resources Information System (HRIS). The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, data integrity, and a positive employee experience.
- Pay Rate: $26.00 - $29.00/hour (based on experience)
- Location: Calgary, AB
- Shift: Monday to Friday | 9:00am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities: Payroll Administration - Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time using ADP.
- Verify employee hours, overtime, vacation balances, and payroll adjustments.
- Ensure payroll information is complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies and applicable legislation.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
- Support payroll reporting and reconciliation activities.
HR Administration - Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Support employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, offboarding, and status changes.
- Respond to employee and manager HR inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with benefits administration and employee updates.
- Support HR reporting, audits, and compliance-related activities.
HRIS Implementation & Data Management - Support the implementation and transition to a new Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Assist with employee data validation, testing, data cleanup, and system administration activities.
- Ensure data accuracy throughout system migration processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve data and system-related issues.
- Assist with process improvements and HR technology initiatives.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement - Maintain confidentiality and safeguard employee information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, Alberta Employment Standards, and Canadian payroll regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to payroll, HR processes, and systems.
- Participate in special projects and additional administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills: - Minimum of 2 years of payroll and/or HR administration experience.
- Experience processing payroll through ADP is highly preferred.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now is considered a strong asset.
- Experience supporting HRIS implementations or system migrations is highly desirable.
- Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of Canadian payroll practices.
- Knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards.
- Familiarity with HR processes, employee records management, and benefits administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly:
- Excel
- Word
- Outlook
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems.
- Strong data entry and reporting capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive and customer-focused approach.
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
