Job description
Make a significant impact in patient healthcare as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in a temporary, part-time capacity. Your expertise will play a key role in diagnostic accuracy and patient support. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including specimen preparation, testing in fields like Hematology, and ensuring compliance with safety standards under guidance from the Laboratory Manager. This role is perfect for those who are detail-oriented and possess a strong clinical background, with emphasis on teamwork and effective communication. Key Responsibilities: • Receive and prepare specimens for diagnostic testing • Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests diligently • Ensure accuracy in result validation and reporting • Maintain and operate laboratory equipment proficiently • Collaborate with healthcare staff to expedite patient care Requirements: • Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Science training program • Certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science • At least 2 years of clinical experience preferred • Effective organizational skills and attention to detail • Availability for rotating shifts including nights and weekends Utilize your laboratory skills to advance patient care and quality improvement in healthcare. #J-18808-Ljbffr
