  • Represent Aecon with internal stakeholders, clients, regulators, the JHSC, subcontractors, vendors, and visitors on EHS matters
  • Combination of shop floor and office environments with regular field presence at both locations required
  • May involve extended periods of standing, walking, climbing, and exposure to controlled shop-floor hazards such as welding fume, noise, moving loads, and mobile equipment.
  • Travel of up to approximately 20% to other Aecon fabrication sites in Canada and the U.S. may be required

What You Bring To The Team:

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive EHS experience in construction, heavy industrial, fabrication, or similar environments, including at least 2 years leading a team
  • Direct experience in a fabrication shop, nuclear generating station, or nuclear supply-chain environment is strongly preferred
  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation required; CRST or CHSCO may be considered with a documented progression plan to CRSP
  • Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, Ontario OHSA and Regulation 851; awareness of ASME NQA-1 and CSA N286 is an asset
  • NCSO, COR Internal Auditor, ASP/CSP, or internal auditor certification are considered assets
  • Strong digital fluency with tools such as SiteDocs, Cority, PowerBI, Microsoft 365, and AI-enabled reporting or analysis tools
