We currently have a role as a Intermediate Front Office Developer – Repo & US Treasuries with our large consulting client, workig onsite at a major financial services client in the downtown Montreal area. Role: Intermediate Front Office Developer – Repo & US Treasuries Type: Permanent or Contract 37.5 hrs/week Location: Hybrid - Downtown Montreal, QC -(roles starts off 5 days in office for 1st 3 months, then turns into hybrid setup 3 days onsite, 2 days from home) Salary: $75,000 - $78,000 + 9% bonus + 3-5 weeks paid vacation + RRSP contribution + benefits + sick/personal days Position Overview RESPONSIBILITIES Act as the main point of contact with US Repo officers (traders, sales, middle office) regarding tools such as pricing, reporting, deal analysis, and data analytics Design and develop solutions for trading desks Manage software releases, configuration, monitoring, and support of production systems and infrastructure Provide Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 support to end users Troubleshoot technical and functional issues in a complex global financial environment Gather business requirements and contribute to solution development Manage multiple workstreams concurrently and prioritize effectively Contribute to system migration and modernization by replacing legacy Excel-based tools with APIs and web-based solutions Improve processes to reduce support time Ensure delivery aligns with business requirements Apply IT best practices to improve software quality Follow Agile and Continuous Delivery methodologies Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across teams REQUIREMENTS Mandatory Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or related field 2–5 years of experience as a developer Strong object-oriented programming skills Good knowledge of design patterns (e.g., MVVM) Experience with .NET (C# 4.5+, .NET Core or newer) Experience with database technologies and SQL Experience using Git or other source control tools Understanding of Agile and CI/CD practices Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage multiple priorities and escalate when needed Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to build relationships with stakeholders Nice to have Degree in Finance Experience in financial services Experience with Fixed Income pricing Experience with Angular or React Knowledge of Python Experience with Excel/VBA Familiarity with TeamCity and OctopusDeploy Knowledge of capital markets and investment banking activities Understanding of Fixed Income products (Repo, Bonds, IRS) Knowledge of risk analysis and pricing
