Our client, located in the GTA, is hiring a Controller on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting directly to the President, this hands-on leadership role will oversee all accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, tax, treasury, payroll, and audit functions while leading a small accounting team. The successful candidate will also serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership by providing financial analysis, operational insights, and business guidance.

As Controller, you will be responsible for:
Leading the month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, and annual audit.
Managing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, financial planning, and analysis.
Overseeing all tax compliance, treasury, payroll, and accounting operations.
Leading and mentoring the accounting team while maintaining strong internal controls.
Providing strategic financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
Managing relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders.
To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following qualifications:
CPA designation.
10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.
Strong financial reporting, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, tax, and audit experience.
Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is considered an asset.
Excellent leadership, communication, and business partnering skills.
