Hourly Rate:

AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $31.89 ou/or $50.25 (2024-2025)

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Requirements and Nature of Work:

Nous recherchons un(e) assistant(e) de recherche (AR) maîtrisant parfaitement l’anglais et le français, organisé(e) et motivé(e). L’AR apportera son soutien à un projet visant à valider la traduction en français canadien d’un questionnaire de dépistage de la coordination motrice auprès de parents d’enfants d’âge préscolaire. Le/la candidat(e) doit déjà avoir accès à l’application REDCap du CHEO et posséder une expérience de son utilisation. Il/elle sera chargé(e) du recrutement, du suivi auprès des parents, ainsi que de la gestion de la collecte des données (au sein de l’application REDCap), de l’analyse des données (à l’aide d’un logiciel statistique) et de la mise en forme des résultats (par exemple, création de tableaux et de graphiques). Cette personne sera également chargée de communiquer avec les parents afin d’organiser des séances avec le thérapeute pour réaliser les évaluations auprès des enfants. Parmi ses autres responsabilités figurent la communication avec les parents, la réalisation et l’organisation de recherches bibliographiques, ainsi que la gestion des références, des fichiers de données et de la documentation relative au projet.

Qualifications minimales:

Communication bilingue (anglais/français)

• Accès et expérience avec CHEO REDCap

• Compétences en statistiques de base (réalisation d’analyses descriptives et inférentielles à l’aide de logiciels)

• Solides compétences organisationnelles (gestion des processus de recrutement, planification des séances d’évaluation, suivi de la progression des participants et tenue à jour des fichiers de données et de la documentation)

• Le souci du détail (assurer l’exactitude de la collecte des données et de la documentation, repérer les incohérences et les erreurs)

• Une communication professionnelle

• Une bonne connaissance des bases de données universitaires et de l’organisation des références

A research assistant (RA) who is fluent in English and French, organized and motivated is needed. The RA will support a project aimed at validating a Canadian French translation of a motor coordination screening questionnaire with parents of preschool aged children. The candidate must already have access to and experience with the CHEO REDCap application. S/he would be responsible for recruitment, following up with parents, as well as managing data collection (within the REDCap application), and conducting data analysis (using statistical software) and formatting results (e.g., creating tables, graphs). This person will also be responsible for communicating with parents to organize sessions with the therapist to perform evaluation sessions with the children. Additional responsibilities include communicating with parents, conducting and organizing literature searches, and maintaining references, data files, and project documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bilingual communication (English/French)
• Already have access to and experience with CHEO REDCap
• Basic statistical competency (run descriptive and inferential analyses using software)
• Strong organizational skills (manage recruitment workflows, scheduling evaluation sessions, tracking participant progress, and maintaining orderly data files and documentation)
• Attention to detail (ensure accuracy in data collection and documentation, catch inconsistencies/errors)
• Professional communication
• Familiar with academic databases and organizing references
