About the role The Associate Data Analyst serves as the primary engine for data integrity and logical validation across our consulting mandates. This role exists to ensure that the strategic advice we provide to our clients is rooted in clean, verifiable facts rather than assumptions. We are currently supporting a major Canadian financial client on a significant portfolio review, and this role will be central to that effort.
About Arabian Private Holdings Arabian Private Holdings was founded on the principle that many critical business problems do not fit the traditional large firm consulting model. A board facing a succession question or a family group weighing a capital injection does not need a team of twelve associates and a hundred page methodology deck. They need experienced partners who can sit with a problem, form a rigorous view, and defend it. We take on a limited number of mandates to ensure that every client receives direct attention from the principals who are actually accountable for the outcome.
Our work covers corporate strategy, governance, and operating model efficiency for some of the most significant family groups, listed corporations, and government entities in the region. We focus on clarity over complexity. Whether we are helping a holding company rationalize its portfolio or supporting a founder through a scaling transition, our goal is to provide honest, independent advice. We operate as a remote firm, choosing to prioritize the quality of our analysis and the strength of our relationships over traditional office overhead or aggressive growth targets. If a project is not a fit for our expertise, we are direct about it. If it is, we stay involved until the decision is made and the results are delivered.
What you will do - Organize and clean raw datasets provided by client teams to ensure they are ready for high level analysis.
- Build clear, legible visualizations that translate complex financial figures into reports for firm principals.
- Conduct targeted research on market benchmarks and industry trends to support our current mandates.
- Identify patterns and discrepancies in large spreadsheets that could impact corporate strategy decisions.
- Maintain internal data repositories to ensure current information is available for ongoing client projects.
- Perform basic audits of financial models to check for calculation errors or logical inconsistencies.
- Assist in drafting the data driven sections of client presentations and board memos.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators for portfolios managed by our major Canadian financial client.
What we are looking for - A completed degree or significant coursework in mathematics, economics, finance, or a related field.
- High proficiency in spreadsheet software and a basic understanding of data visualization tools.
- The ability to write clearly and soberly, avoiding corporate jargon or unnecessary filler.
- A logical mindset that enjoys finding solutions to messy or unstructured information problems.
- Strong attention to detail, specifically the ability to spot technical errors in large documents.
- The discipline to work effectively in a fully remote environment without constant supervision.
How we work Operating as a fully remote firm allows us to focus entirely on the quality of our thought rather than the logistics of an office. Our communication is asynchronous but highly structured: we value clear writing and thoughtful responses over frequent, unproductive meetings. Mentorship here is direct and unvarnished. As an associate, you will work closely with principals who have spent decades navigating complex corporate landscapes. We expect everyone on the team to form a view and be prepared to defend it with data. This is a permanent, full time position that offers the autonomy to manage your own schedule while contributing to high stakes decisions for global organizations.
What the role offers - A full time, permanent position with a competitive salary that is attractive for the current market.
- The flexibility of a fully remote work model with no requirements for office presence.
- Direct exposure to the decision making processes of holding companies and large financial entities.
- Hands on mentoring from experienced firm principals in the fields of governance and strategy.
- A professional environment that rewards clarity of thought and precise execution over long hours.
