Compensation
Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds.
- Employees who do NOT hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate - $ per hour.
- Employees who hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate - $ per hour.
- In cases where additional duties are required as part of a Teaching Assistant’s duties, these hours shall be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate.
Duties
The duties and responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant shall be in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement. These are made up of scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (including preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as may be required.
Qualifications
- Previous successful experience as a Teaching Assistant in a graduate-level course, including conducting tutorials, labs, and/or review sessions.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching theRprogramming language through prior instructional experience.
- Advanced proficiency inR, with the ability to support students in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and programming.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant for a graduate-levelMarketing Analyticscourse, demonstrating strong subject knowledge and instructional skills.
- Successful completion ofMBAB 5P85(or an equivalent course) with a minimum grade of80%.
- Excellent English communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to academic integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.
