Instrumentation Engineer Co-Op/Intern - Fall 2026

Where will you work:

Mosaic Potash Esterhazy is an underground potash mine located 90 kilometers south of Yorkton. Its split between three mine sites - K1, K2 and K3 which will be the largest, and one of the world’s most competitive underground potash mines in the world.

The Instrumentation Engineer Co-Op/Intern is responsible for providing support to assigned department by designing and executing technical projects. September 8, 2026 to December 18, 2026

Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hours a week on site.

What do you need for this role?

Day to day duties will include:

• Collaborate with advanced technology and visionary leadership to solve real-world challenges.

• Contribute to special project design and support initiatives aimed at optimizing facility efficiency and enhancing final product quality.

• Day-to-day work assignments could include conducting fieldwork for data collection and analysis, report writing, and database maintenance

• Partner with a technical supervisor who will assign and guide you through projects such as troubleshooting to identify root causes of complex issues.

• Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors.

• Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.

• Adhering to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.

What do you need for this role?

• Second year or higher pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Technician

• 72% Percentage or higher.

• 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.

• Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.

• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.

• Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship

• Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete the following: Post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.

• Basic computer skills are required.

• Experience working in a team environment is a must.

• Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable.

• Effective verbal communication skills is a plus.

• Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments.
