Central Corridor Medical Affairs is looking for Associate Physicians to assist the GIM department at the Red Deer Regional Health Centre. Associate Physicians play an important role in the delivery of health care. The Alberta Associate Physicians Program provides International Medical Graduates (IMGs) with an alternate career path to become Associate Physicians. The programs put candidates through a six-month assessment and evaluation that, upon successful completion, can lead to a full-time and permanent acute care coverage role that addresses clinical and/or surgical coverage shortages.

We are currently hiring an Associate Physician position to support the Red Deer Regional Health Centre - GIM Department. This position represents an opportunity created for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) to be selected and prepared for work as Associate Physicians in clinical departments. IMGs are landed immigrants, Canadian citizens and/or have employment authorization from the Canadian government and fulfill the program requirements. Applicants must have been successfully pre-screened through the Provincial CA Screening program prior to applying.

Preference will be given to applicants who have had active GIM experience within the last 3 years.
