Job description
On behalf of our manufacturing client, we are actively looking for a Project Manager for their location in Oakville, ON. This is a great opportunity to join a leader in their field!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the planning and implementation of specific projects.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines.
  • Assemble and coordinate project staff.
  • Manage project budget.
  • Manage project resource allocation.
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Provide direction and support to project team.
  • Develop and maintain a relationship with the customer that reflects a partnership approach and demonstrates sound understanding of the customer’s needs. Develops a customer service culture throughout the project. Effectively resolves problems and concerns of the client.
  • Ensure quality assurance goals are achieved.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Conduct project evaluations and assessments of results.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management.
  • Post-secondary education in chemical or mechanical engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Direct work experience in the design and/or fabrication of custom process equipment.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical equipment design and documentation requirements an asset
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
  • Proven experience in risk and change management.
  • Skillful use of software tools such as Microsoft Office, Visio, Microsoft Project or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
  • Production Leads.
  • Engineering.
  • Clients
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Normal office environment with frequent sitting, standing and walking around the floor.
  • Required to use safety and personal protective equipment when on production floor.
  • Some travel required. Some overtime required.
