General Manager - Industrial Services to lead business operations, drive operational excellence, and oversee the growth and performance of a regional industrial services business.
This is an exciting opportunity for an established operations leader with experience managing industrial service teams, field operations, and customer-focused service delivery. The ideal candidate will come from an industrial services, maintenance, mechanical services, infrastructure, or heavy industry environment and have a proven track record of leading teams, managing financial performance, and improving operational results.
- Pay Rate: $140K-$160K + bonus
- Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia (travel across Canada required)

Responsibilities- Lead and oversee industrial services operations across Canada, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable service delivery.
- Manage daily operations, workforce planning, resource allocation, and operational execution.
- Provide leadership and direction to operations teams, supervisors, and field personnel.
- Own operational performance metrics, including productivity, quality, safety, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, cost control, and overall P&L performance for the business unit.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry partners.
- Support business growth initiatives by identifying opportunities to expand services and strengthen market presence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, service quality, and profitability.
- Establish and maintain a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing teams to support business growth.
- Partner with senior leadership on strategic planning, expansion initiatives, and long-term business objectives.
- Monitor industry trends and customer needs to support competitive positioning and sustainable growth.
Qualifications- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within industrial services, maintenance services, infrastructure, heavy industry, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing industrial operations, regional operations, or a business unit with full operational accountability.
- Strong understanding of industrial service delivery models, field operations, and workforce management.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, P&L performance, forecasting, and cost control.
- Experience leading teams of supervisors, managers, and skilled trades or field personnel.
- Strong background in customer relationship management and service-based operations.
- Proven ability to improve operational performance through process improvements and strategic initiatives.
- A hands-on leader who can balance strategic decision-making with day-to-day operational execution.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a safety-focused industrial environment.
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
