Job Summary
Install maintain and repair plumbing systems in residential commercial and industrial settings. Diagnose issues perform installations and testing and ensure all work meets applicable codes and safety standards.

Main Duties
- Install assemble and repair pipes fittings fixtures and related plumbing equipment for water waste and gas systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing malfunctions perform repairs or replacements and test systems for leaks and proper operation.
- Read and interpret blueprints specifications and building code requirements to determine installation and repair procedures.
- Perform pressure tests inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system integrity and longevity.
- Coordinate with contractors suppliers and clients to schedule work obtain materials and communicate project status.
- Maintain tools and equipment keep accurate work records and complete required job documentation.
Requirements
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program or formal trade training or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum two years of hands-on experience installing and repairing plumbing systems in residential or commercial environments.
- Ability to read blueprints technical drawings and apply relevant building code requirements.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials work in confined spaces and perform manual tasks safely.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety use of personal protective equipment and hazard awareness.
Required Skills
- Pipe fitting and installation techniques for common materials (copper PVC PEX).
- Soldering brazing and other joining methods for plumbing applications.
- Diagnostic troubleshooting and leak detection using appropriate tools and methods.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints schematics and technical specifications.
- Effective communication with clients contractors and team members.
- Time management and organizational skills for job planning prioritization and documentation.
