What this role is all about:

As a Small Business Account Manager you are responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of small business members with commercial and agricultural lending -based advice assess andadjudicatecredit within delegated authority and support the long-term financial success of members while managing risk and profitability.

• Interviewmembersandpotentialmemberstodetermineandmatchtheir needs with Credit Union products and services
• Analyzeandapprovenewsmallbusinesscreditsthroughthe application ofsafe and soundlending principles and practices within delegated authority level
• Act as primary resource for the development and building of small businessrelationshipswithexistingandpotentialmembers includingcross-sellingof Credit Unions retail products and services
• Deliver advice and services to existing and potential members in person attheirsiteorviaothermediaduringandoutsideofregularbusinesshours
• Conduct annual and periodic reviews of small business credits and associateddocumentationinaccordancewithCreditUnionpolicyandbythe application of lending principles and current product pricing guidelines
• Ensure the profitability of the loan portfolio through application of loan ratesandservicechargesconsistentwithCreditUnionpolicynegotiateloan termsratesandconditionsrelativetoriskwhilebalancingboththemember and Credit Unions needs
• Monitormarginedaccountsandtakeappropriateactionasrequired
• Instructsolicitorsandnotariestoensureappropriateloandocumentation is prepared and executedin accordance withlegal and regulatory requirements Credit Union policy and department standards

What youll bring:

• SecondarySchooldiplomapluscompletionoforenrollmentinthe CU Source Commercial Lender Accreditation Program (all required and recommended courses)
• A minimum 3 years experience as qualified consumer/personal lenderinarecognizedfinancialinstitutionpreferablyaCreditUnion
• WorkingknowledgeofCreditUniondemanddepositproductsand granting of consumer credit
• Familiaritywithwealthmanagementproductsandservices
• Demonstratedproficiencywithofficesoftwareapplicationssuchas word processing and spread sheets
• Demonstratedproficiencyworkinginateamenvironmentwith shared duties and responsibilities
• Proven problem solving and time management skills with a demonstratedabilitytoworkindependentlyprioritizemeetdeadlinesand exercise sound judgement
• Demonstratedproficiencyinprovidingprofessionalfriendlyand knowledgeable service to members
• Candidateswithanequivalentcombinationofeducationexperience and skills may be considered
