Job Summary
Provide accurate financial record-keeping and support accounting operations for departments or clients. Perform routine accounting tasks including transaction entry reconciliations and preparation of supporting documentation.

Main Duties
- Record daily financial transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable entries.
- Prepare and process invoices expense claims purchase orders and payment records.
- Reconcile bank statements ledgers and sub-ledgers to ensure accuracy of accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities and prepare supporting schedules.
- Maintain organized financial files documentation and electronic records for audits and reporting.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding account balances billing and payment status.
Requirements
- Secondary school diploma; post-secondary certificate or coursework in accounting bookkeeping or a related field preferred.
- One to two years of related accounting or clerical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles general ledger functions and basic accounting practices.
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail numeracy skills and ability to manage confidential information.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members and clients.
