Job description
Experienced Change Management Analyst contract role supporting a major Government of Alberta transformation initiative, including stakeholder engagement, change impact assessments, communications, training, readiness, and implementation support.
  • Full-time contract supporting a high-profile transformation initiative within the Government of Alberta
  • On-site role in Edmonton, Alberta (5 days/week)
  • Delivery-focused role creating and executing change management activities from planning through implementation
What & Why:
Our client, the Government of Alberta, is seeking an experienced Change Management Analyst to support a complex transformation initiative within the Strategic Procurement Office. This is a hands-on delivery role focused on executing change management activities, not simply providing strategic advice. The successful candidate will work closely with project, business, and operational teams to develop practical change management deliverables, facilitate stakeholder engagement, support implementation readiness, and help ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, or services.

Who:
The Strategic Procurement Office leads initiatives that improve how government services and procurement activities are delivered across the province. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary project team, collaborating with business leaders, project managers, operational teams, and stakeholders to support organizational change throughout the project lifecycle.

You:
You are a hands-on change management professional who enjoys building deliverables, facilitating workshops, and working directly with stakeholders to drive successful change. You have experience translating project impacts into practical communication, engagement, readiness, and training materials. You are comfortable facilitating discussions, coordinating activities across multiple stakeholder groups, and supporting implementation from planning through rollout.

Critical experience requirements include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or another related field
  • Minimum 4 years of direct change management or change facilitation experience
  • Minimum 4 years developing change management deliverables, including change strategies, stakeholder assessments, impact assessments, communication plans, readiness plans, and implementation support materials
  • Minimum 4 years developing communication materials for leadership, business users, and project stakeholders
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops, engagement sessions, alignment meetings, demonstrations, and working sessions
  • Experience developing training materials, job aids, quick reference guides, FAQs, presentations, and end-user support documentation
  • Experience supporting stakeholder readiness, implementation, rollout, and adoption activities
  • Strong communication, facilitation, organization, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Edmonton, Alberta
Nice to have:
  • Prosci or CCMP certification
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs and end-user documentation
  • Experience designing stakeholder engagement or organizational readiness programs
  • Experience gathering business requirements through interviews, workshops, document analysis, or process reviews
  • Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives within the Government of Alberta
  • Experience coordinating change activities across multiple business units and stakeholder groups
Compensation:
Competitive hourly contract rate based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
