Purpose:
The Assistant Coach will support the management of the Varsity Sports Program within the Athletics & Recreation department. The Assistant Coach is primarily responsible for the coaching student athletes, competitions and ensuring specific administrative duties are completed. This is a professional coaching position and all the duties of the position must be conducted in adherence with the policies, rules, and regulations of York University, the Department of Athletics and Recreation, OUA, U Sport and specific PSO/NSO's.
Education:
High School Diploma.
Experience:
- Previous coaching experience at club/high school or higher (preferred college/university level)
- Possess a valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract, First Aid Certification
- Sport-specific knowledge as reflected by coaching certification. Member in good standing with applicable sporting organization or PSO/NSO
