Job description
The Jim Pattison Auto Group is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team! With multiple locations and a commitment to excellence this is your chance to make a significant impact in our this role youll be responsible for delivering accurate timely payroll for your assigned dealership locations supporting employees with payroll-related inquiries and helping to ensure compliance with payroll legislation. If youre organized proactive and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment wed love to hear from you!Schedule:This is a full-time permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday during the Group Offices regular business UsA division of the Jim Pattison Group the Jim Pattison Auto Group was founded in 1961 by Jimmy Pattison when he purchased a GM franchise. Learn more about us here: Day in The LifeProcess payroll accurately and on time for salaried and hourly employeesMaintain employee payroll records and ensure data integrityCalculate wages overtime deductions and taxable benefits as requiredPrepare payroll reconciliations and support month-end and year-end reportingEnsure compliance with payroll legislation tax requirements and company policiesPrepare and submit Records of Employment (ROEs)Process payroll documentation such as CPT30 elections and T2200 DeclarationsComplete payroll-related ICBC and WCB formsAssist with audits and recommend improvementsRespond to all employee payroll enquiries with professionalism care and timelinessCollaborate with the HR and Finance departments for payroll purposesMaintain strict confidentiality of employee and company informationWhat We Are Looking ForAt least 2 years of full-cycle payroll experiencePayroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is requiredPrevious experience in the automotive industry is strongly preferredPrevious experience processing payroll in a multi-provincial or multi-site organization is considered an assetExperience with Ceridian Dayforce is considered an assetHigh level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) with strong Excel skillsThorough knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation (BC AB MB)Working knowledge of General Ledger (GL) accounting and payroll-related journal entriesAbility to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretionExcellent math and data-entry skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and organize tasks while meeting strict deadlinesExcellent customer service skills with positive and courteous telephone etiquetteExcellent written and spoken communication skillsAbility to interact professionally with employees colleagues and third partiesWhat We OfferCompetitive wagesExclusive access to vendor promotions offers and purchase programsComprehensive benefits packageRecognition and rewards programOpportunities for growth and development across the organizationA collaborative and supportive team environmentHow to ApplyIf this sounds like a great fit please apply with your resume today!Visit our Careers Page to explore more opportunities: role requires successful candidates to submit a satisfactory Drivers Abstract and Criminal Record thank all applicants for their interest in this opportunity; however only those selected for an interview will be are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace.
