ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Thisunifiedinternshippostingallowsyoutoapplyoncewhileindicatingyourpreferencefor one offourinvestmentteams:InfrastructureNaturalResourcesPrivateEquityRealEstate or Credit Investments. Youwillbeintegratedintoyourpreferredteam(basedon fit and businessneeds) andactivelyparticipateinanalyzingexecuting andmanaginginvestmentsinprivateassetsglobally.

YOUR ROLE

Dependingon theinvestmentteamyoujoinyourresponsibilitiesmayinclude:

Infrastructure Investments

  • Conductpreliminaryanalysisofinvestmentopportunitiesandassessinvestmentthesesincludingkeymeritsandrisks

  • Builddetailedfinancialmodels(DCF valuation)determineandsubstantiatekey valuationassumptionsconductsensitivityanalyses

  • Researchrelevant public information on comparablecompaniesandprecedenttransactions

  • Participatein key due diligenceactivitiesandcoordinateworkperformedbythird-partyadvisors

  • Prepareinvestmentmemorandumsandpresentrecommendationsto the Infrastructure InvestmentCommittee

NaturalResourcesInvestments

  • Supportinvestmentteammembersinanalyzingpotentialprivateequitytransactions in agriculturetimber and animalproteinassets

  • Participatein active management of the NaturalResourcesgroupscurrentinvestmentportfolio

  • Support due diligenceprocessesfor newinvestmentopportunities

  • Developandvalidatefinancialmodelsrelatedtoinvestments

  • Conductindustryresearchon newinvestmentopportunitiesinforestryand agriculturesectors

  • Assistin draftinginvestmentrecommendationsandstrategicpresentations

PrivateEquity

  • Assistdealteamsonexecutionof transactionsincludingco-investmentsincompaniesandexternalfundcommitments

  • Participateinrelationshipand portfolio managementexercisessupportingcoverageteamswithholisticasset managementactivities

  • Performinvestmentdue diligenceincludingindustryandcompany-specificresearchusingprimaryandsecondarysources

  • Assistin thepreparationofinvestmentcommitteematerials

  • Performfinancial valuation andreturnsanalysison newopportunities

RealEstateInvestments

  • Supportanalystsin active management ofPSPsrealestateportfolioacrosstheAmericas

  • Analyzepotentialrealestatetransactions (financialmodelingeconomicfeasibility)acrossvariousasset classes and structures (residential officeindustrialretailjoint venturesfunds)

  • Participatein due diligenceprocessesfor realestateacquisitions and dispositions

  • Contributeto asset managementdecisionsrelatedtofinancinghedgingcontracts leasing capitalexpenditures andredevelopments

  • Researchsynthesize andanalyzedata onvariousrealestatemarkets

  • Collectinformation and update the realestateinvestmentteamsdatabase

Credit Investments

  • Provide support to the investment teams during all phases of the credit investments process.

  • Assist with investment screening (preparation and presentation) financial modelling and accounting analysis industry and sector analysis (qualitative and quantitative) transaction due diligence

  • Be given the opportunity to participate in the investment decision process assist in drafting and / or reviewing legal documentation prepare investment recommendation memos and contribute to post-investment portfolio monitoring

  • Complete an end of internship project consisting of an investment recommendation memo that will be presented to our teams investment committee

Education

  • Currently enrolled in aBachelor of Commerce(Finance Accounting)Mastersin financeor accountingMBA or degrees inEconomics Engineering Mathematicswith strong academic standing

  • Highacademicachievementrequired

  • Regular interactions in EnglishwithinvestmentpartnersbasedoutsideofQuebec(peersbankersbrokeragefirms PSPemployeesin Hong Kong London and New York offices) and interactions in FrenchwithemployeesinMontrealand Ottawa offices
