Experience Requirements

25 years of experience in Aircraft / Aerospace Systems Engineering with exposure to pneumatic systems.

Required Skills & Experience

Aircraft Pneumatic Systems Expertise

Hands-on or detailed working knowledge of:
Environmental Control System (ECS)
Bleed Air Systems
Ice & Rain Protection Systems
Cabin Pressurization
Ventilation Systems
Oxygen Systems
Heaters
Fire/Smoke Detection Systems
Flow Distribution Systems

Systems Engineering & Integration

Experience preparing system specifications and requirements including:
Functional requirements
Safety requirements
Ability to support system integration activities.
Experience managing interfaces across aircraft systems.
Experience coordinating with internal cross-functional engineering teams.
Ability to define:
System architecture
Functional breakdowns
Interface requirements

Supplier & Design Coordination

Experience coordinating with suppliers and reviewing design data.
Ability to approve technical documentation for compliance and maturity.
Provide technical oversight during supplier design reviews.
Monitor supplier deliverables for:
Technical compliance
Quality
Schedule adherence

Good to Have Skills

Exposure to:
Compliance documentation
Certification reports
Ability to prepare:
Technical reports
Compliance matrices
Design justifications
Experience with:
SysML
Functional block diagrams
DOORS
Polarion or similar requirements management tools
Experience working with:
Structures teams
Electrical teams
Avionics teams
Manufacturing teams
Flight test teams
Ability to work independently with moderate supervision in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

System Ownership & Architecture

Own and support assigned aircraft pneumatic systems including:
ECS
Bleed Air
Ice & Rain Protection
Cabin Pressurization
Ventilation
Oxygen Systems
Heaters
Fire/Smoke Detection
Define system architecture functional breakdown and interface requirements.

Requirements Management & Verification

Develop review and manage system specifications and requirements with full traceability.
Perform requirements validation and verification throughout the development lifecycle.
Support certification and compliance activities in accordance with applicable airworthiness standards.

Integration & Design Support

Support system integration activities and interface coordination with adjacent aircraft systems.
Conduct:
Functional modeling
Trade studies
to support design decisions.
Review and approve:
Design documents
Engineering analyses
Technical data

Technical Documentation & Issue Resolution

Prepare:
Technical reports
Compliance documentation
Resolve technical issues through collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Communicate:
Risks
Issues
Recommendations
to internal stakeholders.
