The TD Enterprise Content Studio is hiring a Digital Content Specialist to a full time position to help oversee the creation and publication of dynamic digital corporate content that aligns to the strategic objectives of the Corporate Affairs (CAPA) division of TD.

The ideal candidate for this role is a talented and versatile digital storyteller, strong writer and editor, and veteran digital content publisher with experience in visual and social storytelling formats who understands how to tell compelling stories across channels to engage audiences on multiple online platforms.

The skills and attributes needed for this role include:

  • Writing, packaging and publishing content for external audiences, leveraging traditional, online and social assets.

  • Exceptional editing and copywriting skills. A background in journalism, content creation, or corporate communications will be considered an asset.

  • An ability to produce a variety of high-quality content on deadline, including executive bylines, impactful short and long form videos, and compelling profiles of colleagues and partners.

  • An aptitude for ideating and proactively bringing ideas to the table, as well as brainstorming as part of a team.

  • The ability to ideate, pitch, and project manage content through multiple layers of approval for publication.

  • A familiarity with producing content for podcast channels will be considered an asset.

  • A critical eye for editing, including the ability to tell a singular narrative through multiple pieces of content across a variety of platforms.

  • Our ideal candidate has experience with applying SEO & GEO to content creation, and is savvy in the world of data, analytics, and digital publishing.

  • An ability to work closely and collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that our team is sharing stories in an engaging way, while leveraging all the channels available to us.

  • An interest in branded storytelling, best practices, and telling engaging stories that make an impact.

  • Experience working with freelancers, including providing editorial direction and feedback to a team of writers, as well as editing first drafts for clarity and to ensure editorial alignment.

What will you do?

  • You will write short and long-form content to be published on TD-owned channels.

  • You will edit written and multimedia content that will be featured on TD Stories, TD social channels, and on third party platforms that will help influence stakeholders and drive engagement.

  • You will work closely with a team of communicators to develop content strategies and produce engaging branded editorial content that is both assigned to and pitched by you.

  • You will look for opportunities to incorporate current affairs into content that resonates with employees and an external audience.

  • You will be a champion for content excellence, and play a key role in evolving the stories that we tell and how we share them with our key audiences, advising colleagues and partners on how to develop more compelling content.

  • You will work with a team of freelance videographers, photographers, and writers to help them create content aligned to the organization's goals.

  • You will make suggestions to help improve our editorial approach, by leveraging data and analytics to drive better content and packaging insights for colleagues and partners to evolve with each approach.

  • Assist with new communications initiatives and digital storytelling channels as needed and act as a champion for these.

Skills for the job

  • Passion for storytelling and a strong writer. You are creative, curious about your subjects, and can write short or long-form copy.
