Job Summary
Coordinate and process customs clearances for international shipments while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and tariff requirements. Advise clients and coordinate with carriers and authorities to facilitate timely release and delivery of goods.

Main Duties
- Prepare and submit customs documentation commercial invoices and declarations for imports and exports.
- Classify goods according to tariff schedules and calculate duties taxes and other fees.
- Communicate with customs authorities carriers freight forwarders and clients to resolve issues and expedite clearances.
- Review bills of lading manifests permits and supporting documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor shipment status track releases and coordinate delivery holds or re-exports as required.
- Maintain accurate records prepare reports and assist with audits and compliance reviews.
Requirements
- Postsecondary diploma or certificate in customs brokerage international trade business logistics or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in customs brokerage import-export operations freight forwarding or a related role.
- Working knowledge of Canadian customs regulations tariff classification valuation methods and duty calculation.
- Experience using electronic customs filing systems EDI or commercial customs software and proficiency with common office applications.
- Strong attention to detail organizational abilities and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Eligible to obtain a customs broker licence or meet applicable regulatory/security clearance requirements where required.
