Job description
Med-Eng* products are trusted in over 100 countries worldwide. It offers the leading brand of Explosive Ordnance Disposal protective equipment including suits and helmets for EOD bomb disposal and tactical addition to its bomb disposal equipment its product line includes a vast array of specialized tools for unexploded ordnance high risk search and demining operations. Med-Eng crew survivability blast attenuation seats and thermal managements solutions protect military vehicle occupants and their mission critical electronics from the blast effects of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and heat stress. Med-Eng is world-renowned for its aggressive Research & Development programs and collaborative approach to meeting customer requirements. Temporary General Assemblers and Sewing Machine OperatorsCurrently our Operations Team is seeking Temporary Mechanical Assemblers and Sewing Machine Operators at our Pembroke Ontario office. Summary:The successful candidates will prepare and assemble/and or sew quality personal protective & Responsibilities:Operates production line equipment of a level of complexity requiring the specified training or assembling products units machines equipment and/or subassemblies that are larger heavier and/or more complex;May cut materials;Drills taps or reams holes using drill press or portable drill. Aligns components and bolts screws or rivets them together using hand tools or portable powered tools; Tests or assist in testing operation of completed product; Assists more junior operators in performance of skilled function;May repair units that fail to meet specifications;Mounts assembled components such as transformers resistors transistors capacitors integrated circuits and sockets on chassis panel;Perform inspection to ensure maintenance of quality standards;May perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device;Other duties as requiredQualifications:Understand safety features and safe operation methods for all machines;At least two (2) years of production/manufacturing experience;Ability to communicate and read in English; Ability to work overtime when required;At least two (2) years of mechanical assembly/and or sewing experience.
