Job Description:
Full-time - $75-90000 dependent on experience
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary responsibility will be to design Extrusion Dies Tooling and Mechanical Components / Assemblies to manufacture Automotive Seals.
Analyze Extrusion Die flow path using CFD software.
Work with Machinists Tool Makers and Process Engineers to help coordinate tool builds.
Participate in the extrusion tooling and die trials to assist in developing the production process.
Revise Extrusion Die Design as needed to improve part quality and process optimization.
Estimate and provide extrusion tooling quotes and timing.
Maintain organized design libraries on computer hard drive using specific file naming convention standards.
Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations Workers Safety Insurance Act and
Cooper Standard Automotive Health Safety and Environment Procedures.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education requirement - Engineering Technologist or Equivalent
Minimum 2 years Tooling design experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set
Solid Works Design experience required
CFD Analysis experience preferred
Mastercam knowledge is an asset
