SUPERVISOR: Warehouse Supervisor
GENERAL PURPOSE:
TheWarehouseman I will have a thorough understanding of all aspects of thewarehouse operation and will perform these duties in a manner that meets thedemands of our customers and abides by the policies and procedures set fromtime to time by the company and government this capacity the Warehouseman I mayunder direction of the Transportation/Warehouse Supervisor be required to giveinstructions to Warehouseman II and/or General Labourer staff working withinthe warehouse.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicates with customerscarriers and other departments in a courteous and diplomatic manner alwaysshowing a high standard of cooperation and excellence to reflect well on RogersFoods Ltd.
Maintains the warehouse in anorderly organized manner using a first-in first-out method of stock control.
Receives stock into thewarehouse from:
-Flour packing lines
-Cereal packing lines
-Outside carriers and
-Company trucks.
Maintains necessary stockcontrol records:
-Receiving documents
-Shipping documents and
-Rerun documents.
Loads all company and commoncarrier trucks trailers (including bulk flour and feed) rail cars and/orcontainers in an accurate and efficient manner.
Delivers product to customers incompany vehicles as required.
Operates all company vehicles ina safe and efficient manner.
Secures and locks all powerequipment and loaded trailers when parked in the company yard.
Checks forklift batteries on adaily basis and tops up fluid levels as required.
Identifies new ways to improvethe efficiency and safety of the overall warehouse operation.
Must be aware of criticalcontrol points as they relate to product liability.
Responsible for compliance withCanada Labour Occupational Health and Safety requirements and company safetystandards.
Follows Good ManufacturingPractices (GMPs) while performing tasks in production areas.
Performs other tasks includingtraining as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Good working relationship withsupervisors warehouse team members and other departmental staff.
Grade 12 graduate.
Thorough knowledge of legalloading procedures for all shipping units.
Valid BC Class I DriversLicense with Air Endorsement or commitment to obtain as per company policy.
Lift truck/Forkliftlicense. Proven ability to operate lifttrucks tractor trailer units and other company vehicles in a safe manner.
Available for shiftwork asrequired.
