Quality Inspector for an exciting opportunity with a leading electronics manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about quality, precision, and ensuring products meet the highest manufacturing and customer standards.
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in verifying product quality throughout the manufacturing process by conducting visual inspections, validating component placement, reviewing assembly workmanship, and ensuring compliance with IPC standards and customer requirements.
- Pay Rate: $17.60 to $19.00/h (+ $2 premium for night shift)
- Location: Markham, ON
- Shift:
- Night Shift : 11 pm to 7 am (able to train days/afternoons for 2 to 3 weeks (7am to 3:30 pm/ 3:30 pm to 12 am)

Responsibilities: Quality Inspection & Verification - Perform visual, in-process, and final inspections according to work instructions, process documentation, and customer specifications.
- Verify component placement, Bill of Materials (BOM) compliance, workmanship quality, and adherence to IPC standards.
- Conduct first-off inspections for new product builds and production runs.
- Review assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, production requirements, and quality standards.
- Identify, document, and communicate quality concerns and non-conformances to production and quality teams.
Production & Quality Support - Ensure manufacturing processes and documentation requirements are followed consistently.
- Support ongoing quality assurance activities throughout the production process.
- Accurately scan, track, and monitor products using Tecnomatix and View Station systems.
- Assist with product traceability and documentation requirements.
- Support production teams in maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement - Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling procedures and quality control protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support corrective action activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Perform additional production-related tasks as required.
Qualifications and Skills: - Minimum 1 year of experience performing in-process and final inspections, preferably within an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with quality control procedures and manufacturing documentation.
- Knowledge of electronic assemblies, SMT (Surface Mount Technology), and through-hole components.
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Engineering drawings
- Assembly documentation
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Ability to identify component values, polarity, orientation, and placement requirements.
- Familiarity with IPC standards, quality systems, and ESD control procedures.
- Experience using manufacturing tracking and inspection systems is considered an asset.
- IPC Certification is considered an asset.
- Experience working within an ISO-certified manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
- Electronics Technician Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent technical training is considered an asset.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong inspection and problem-identification skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
