Job description
Speech-Language Pathologist Winnipeg School Division (WSD) nurtures a welcoming and inclusive culture of people committed to working together to inspire students to reach goals and achieve academic success. To ensure WSD’s continued success as a leader in education and innovation, we’re committed to finding and developing the right people to join our team.Student-Centred Services, Winnipeg School Division, provides a wide range of multi-disciplinary services, delivered within a three-tiered model of support, that help meet the educational, social, emotional and communication needs of students while working collaboratively with schools and families.Guided by a framework rooted in decolonization, reconciliation, Indigenous ways of knowing, and anti-racist/anti- oppressive pedagogy, the speech and language clinician applies a strengths-based, student-centered and inclusive approach to remove barriers to student learning and support the success of students and families. Through culturally responsive and trauma informed assessments, personalized programming, therapeutic interventions, and professional consultation, the speech and language clinician fosters meaningful change that aligns with the division’s priorities.Required Qualifications:Master's Degree - Speech-Language PathologyMust be registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of ManitobaEligible or in possession of a current Manitoba School Clinician's CertificateValid Class 5 drivers’ license and access to a reliable vehicle is requiredThis position requires a speech and language clinician who is an active and visible participant within a school environment and can collaborate and communicate effectively on a multi-disciplinary team.
