We have an excellent opportunity for our upcoming 2026-2027 school year After-School Care Counselors (Post-Secondary Students or Responsible Adults) Hourly wage: $23.00 to $25.00 Are you interested in joining a great school community and working with a team of awesome people who are passionate about the exciting world of education? Who are we? Over the past 21 years, Aberdeen Hall has become a top-level independent school that provides excellent academics and a strong character education to our diverse student population of 700 preschool to grade 12 children. We have opportunities for After-School counselors for a 10-month commitment starting in September 2026 through June 2027. Program Details Each after-school care counselor will be responsible for providing childcare for a group of 5-10 students. You will work in a team environment, supervise students, organize indoor and outdoor play activities, maintain a safe and positive environment for students, and communicate with parents. Monday to Friday, 3:00 to 5:15 pm The after-school program follows the school calendar and will be closed during school breaks (Thanksgiving, Christmas break, Spring break, Easter weekend) Aberdeen Hall provides Competitive compensation at an hourly rate of $23.00 to $25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience Detailed training session & team appreciation An open and collaborative culture The ability to leverage your creativity by organizing indoor and outdoor play activities Opportunity to develop your leadership and child engagement skills Valuable experience for those pursuing a career in education or child development Consistent weekday hours with scheduled breaks during school holidays Success Factors Experience working with children in either a camp counselor role/ or as a current post-secondary student Available for a minimum of 3 days per week Positive role model with high standards of professionalism The ability to foster a creative environment Known to model the highest standards of professional practice and interactions with all stakeholders We thank all candidates for their time and interest; however, only those to be interviewed will be contacted.
